She was a rescue, my little orphan Annie. She was a mutt, a beautiful shorthair mix. Long-legged, she was built to run and I was never active enough for her. She was such a smart dog, and always had a mind of her own. I was irritated, even angry with her sometimes but now I miss it. She loved to cuddle and follow me around, to the point of neediness, I think she had issues from being lost and alone as a puppy. She was the first being I was completely responsible for. She was my emotional support and I loved her. I miss her so much.
