Giving Thanks for Summer Rescue Work

Giving Thanks for Summer Rescue Work 1

Every month your donations are touching the lives of THOUSANDS of animals internationally. This isn’t just rescue, it’s super rescue! As we prepare for the month of June, we wish to share just a few snapshots of your compassion in action.  We still need to raise a few thousands dollars in order to carry out the sponsorship of the dozens and dozens of rescue squads who rely on us. Here are just a few of them…

Thank you from Azerbaijan

Did you know that every month we are helping Nizami Ramazanov to sustain his shelter for over 100 rescued dogs? Your donations are precious!

Naida Kaltak runs a rescue program that takes several hundred injured dogs and cats off the street each year. Each month, she gets help from Harmony Fund supporters like you.

Bogdan Marascu is an avid rescuer who runs a glorious mission for dogs in Romania. He feeds and rescues dogs living in remote areas such as landfills. The dogs are brought to his shelter and found loving homes internationally. Special thanks to our monthly donors for making this possible.

Hajar (left) is one of the sweetest women you’ll ever meet. She runs a robust rescue project from street cats. Without Harmony Fund, she would lose her sanctuary and all the animals would be homeless again. Last week Hajar said, “You are literally our angel.I can’t imagine what would have happened to us if you had not found us years ago.” Special thanks to all our monthly donors.

Thank you from Ukraine

This dog named Nyusha was found in a bizarre state this winter. She was wandering in Poltava, Ukraine when our teammate Natasha Oskar found her. She was wrapped in a leash, no guardian to be found. After a couple month of good care Nyusha has put on weight, is free from parasites and is happy to engage with humans. Our monthly mission in Ukraine is alive and well and we would be grateful for your help.

Thank you from Venezuela

Harmony Fund has a deeply collaborative relationship with our sister organization at Red de Apoyo Canino in Venezuela.  This is a country where poverty and political instability create great hardship for animals and people. With your donations, we are able to provide free spay/neuter campaigns, vaccination programs and monthly food supplies for rescuers in the most deeply impoverished areas.

Thank you from Bunny

Sometimes the best way to see the magnitude of your work with Harmony Fund is to look at a single animal. This is Bunny and she’s living in Ukraine. There’s no delicate way to say this, but when Bunny was found, her nose had been cut off and the area was badly infected. Bunny needed a miracle and she received it. Today she eats well and loves to run and play. Although her appearance may startle some people, we think she’s absolutely beautiful. She wants you to know that you truly and completely saved her life.
